Dental Cleanings And Dental Exams
Dental cleanings and exams are the foundation of what we do here at Dental Care Center of South Kansas City. We work hard to help our patients maintain happy, healthy, beautiful smiles … and this is how we do it! On this page, you will learn about the importance of regular dental cleanings and exams as well as about what a visit to our Kansas City dentist office is like! For more information, please contact our team. We will be happy to help answer any questions or concerns you may have.
The Importance Of Dental Cleanings And Exams
Dental cleanings and exams are one of the most important things you can do for your smile. By maintaining a regular cleaning and exam schedule (we recommend scheduling an appointment every six months), we can help you locate and treat any problems that crop up while they are still small! This will allow you to prevent large, expensive, and painful dental problems.
Your First Visit To Our Office
Whether you step into our office for the first time or the hundredth time, you will be greeted by our smiling, friendly front desk staff! Once we are ready for you, you will be given a new patient tour of our facility and receive your new patient gift!
After that, we will guide you to the consultation room, where you will be asked to fill out some forms. Download them ahead of time to expedite this process! You will be offered coffee or water while you work on your paperwork.
Once this process is complete, you will be escorted back to a chair, offered a comfort menu (see below for comfort options) and meet with the doctor. This is a great time to get to know the doctor — and for the doctor to get to know you — and to discuss your wants and needs. We will take a look at your mouth, sometimes letting you see inside with our intraoral camera, and help you determine what treatment options, if any, might be necessary. Time permitting, you will visit one of our hygienists for a routine cleaning. We will also perform a visual oral cancer screening as well as discuss insurance and financial options.
Making You Comfortable
Our team works hard to make every patient in our office feel at home. We offer a variety of comfort options, including dental sedation. This is an integral part of your experience while in our care.
