Q: Is It Normal To Fear Going To The Dentist??
If you suffer from dental anxiety, you are not alone. Thankfully, the team here at the Dental Care Center of South Kansas City can help. Our dentists are trained in using nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation. All will melt away any anxiety or fear, allowing you to get the dental care you need. Our staff know how to treat you with warmth and friendliness that can help you feel relaxed. We also offer refreshments, TVs with DISH in every operatory, and even warm aromatherapy towels.
Q: Does Teeth Whitening Really Work??
If you’ve tried over-the-counter teeth whitening before, you may have been left wondering if teeth whitening works at all. That’s because those kits must have diluted whitening agents to be sold without a prescription. Instead, we offer professional-strength LUMIBRITE teeth whitening. This system can be done in our Kansas City, MO dental office or at home. Either way, you will get professional results so your teeth look truly white.
Q: When should my child see the dentist for the first time?
We recommend bringing your child in to see one of our doctors between the ages of 3 and 3 1/2. This is the optimal age range for your child to begin receiving regular dental care! By helping your child get the care they need early in life, you are setting them up for great oral health for many years to come!
Q: My child sucks her thumb … what should I do?
Give us a call! We can help you deal with this eventually destructive habit. We ever offer oral appliances. Talk to our team to determine the severity of your child’s situation.
Q: I have frequent headaches … can you help?
Yes! Frequent headaches or regular migraines can be caused by TMD, or temporomandibular joint disorder. Our team can offer you the help you need to feel comfortable again. Learn more about your TMJ treatment options by visiting our page on TMD treatment.
Q: I’m afraid of the dentist. Do you offer dental sedation?
Yes! We offer three different levels of dental sedation: nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation. Learn more about these options by visiting our Relieving Dental Anxiety page.
Q: What is the best toothbrush to use?
The best toothbrush to use is one that fits your mouth! This typically means a brush with a small head and soft bristles. This type of brush will be able to more adequately reach all of the nooks and crannies of your mouth without hurting your gums! Talk to our team for a recommendation for your specific needs.
Q: What is the best tooth replacement option?
The best tooth replacement option will depend on your specific situation, but we often recommend dental implants as the most effective way to replace missing teeth. Dental implants are strong, reliable, and look very natural in your mouth. Learn more about this tooth replacement option by visiting our page on dental implants.
