  • Improve your digestion and overall health

Ensure Your Removable Dentures Last

With proper care and necessary adjustments, your removable dentures can last for several years. So your dentures will last as long as possible, we will provide professional advice on how to care for them and your mouth. Here are a few guidelines for you to keep in mind:

  • Rinse your dentures following meals: this will remove food particles, keeping your dentures (and your mouth!) free of bacteria that can cause decay, bad breath, and other issues
  • Be careful when handling your dentures: the plastic base and clasps of your dentures can bend and become damaged if you aren’t careful; you should also put down a towel or fill the sink with water so if you drop your dentures they won’t break
  • Clean your mouth after you take dentures out: to prevent bacteria from building up, use a soft-bristled brush to clean your remaining teeth, gums, cheeks, tongue, and roof of your mouth
  • Brush your dentures: at least once a day, use a denture cleaner and toothbrush to remove plaque, bacteria, food particles, and denture adhesive
  • Soak dentures each night: because the majority of dentures need to stay moist to keep their shape, soak your dentures in water, a mild denture cleaning solution, or whatever option your dentist recommends
  • Rinse dentures before putting them in your mouth: denture solutions are not meant for your mouth and can be uncomfortable or even dangerous if swallowed
  • Get your dentures adjusted if they fit loosely: because your mouth will continue to change, visit your dentist regularly to maintain a proper fit for your dentures
  • Maintain routine dental cleanings and exams: to keep your mouth healthy and check that dental issues aren’t occurring, visit your dentist regularly

There are also a few things that you should definitely avoid because they can weaken, warp, or otherwise damage dentures, such as:

  • Abrasive whitening toothpastes
  • Stiff-bristled toothbrushes
  • Products that contain bleach, like whitening gels and strips
  • Hot or boiling water

We will discuss your dentures and how best to care for them. If you have any questions at all, just let us know!

Explore Your Dentures Options

Because every patient has unique needs and goals, we provide a few different options for dentures. We will thoroughly assess your situation and explain your options so you can make an informed decision.

Whether you need to replace several missing teeth or you want a full-mouth reconstruction, we have treatment options to fit your needs, including:

  • Removable partial dentures to fill the gap left by several adjacent missing teeth
  • Removable full dentures to replace all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw or both
  • Temporary dentures so you won’t have to go without teeth while your custom dentures are made

We can also attach partial and full dentures to dental implants for a strong, secure hold. Compared to traditional dentures, this option provides many advantages because dental implants:

  • Feel, look, and function just like your natural teeth
  • Can last a lifetime with proper care

Regardless of the treatment you receive, we can ensure your comfort with various amenities, including:

  • Cozy blankets and pillows
  • A snack and beverage bar
  • TVs and headphones in every care room
